PRIM is headquartered in the Czech Republic, where we have created unique, custom-made watches for over 60 years, since 1949. The PRIM factory itself is located about an hour's drive from the capitol of the Czech Republic, Prague, in the town of Nove mest nad Meuji. We sell our watches online but welcome visitors to our factory to see firsthand where our high quality watches are made.
In fact, PRIM offers a free, private factory tour where customers and visitors alike can view the precision work of PRIM watchmaking engineers, and learn more about how PRIM custom watches are created.
Reconstructed and enhanced in 2010, our facilities offer state-of-the-art technology as well as traditional fine artisanship. Visitors will see firsthand that PRIM is one of the last companies worldwide making all the parts of our watch movements on-site. Seeing our watchmakers in action is an experience as unique as the watches we create. Visitors viewing watches being made will note that PRIM manufactures two types of watch movements, both mechanical and automatic. Both types of movements reveal the exceptional talent and skill of our extraordinarily gifted watchmakers, and reveal the precision inherent in the crafting of a timepiece.
Each movement contains many gears and springs, each as perfectly crafted now as they were long before the beginning of battery powered watches. PRIM is where today's technology (watches online) meets traditional engineering and the fine art of watch making.
A trip to our factory also includes a visit to the PRIM museum to learn more about our company history, watch-making history and PRIM's traditions. These tours are available Monday to Friday, from 9 to 4 pm, and may be arranged at any time throughout the year except major holidays.
